Zhejiang Gold and Bijouterie Quality Test Center is the third-party test organization which was founded according to the No.[1994]932 documentation issued by the Planned Economy Committee and the Technical Supervision Administration of Zhejiang province. It is the authorized test organization for the testing of gold and bijouterie and providing of the corresponding services.
This center opens up a business of products quality tests and evaluation for jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles, gold and silver articles, finished gold products, finished silver product, etc. It also provide the society for the propagandization of the standards of jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles and noble metals, the training for the classification of diamonds, the identification of jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles, the vocational sill qualification tests and pre-test trainings. The center has undertaken periodic supervision and checks and daily supervision and spot-checks for the gold and jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles of the province for many years.
The center has advanced testing equipment and testing technology. It has the imported American GIA jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles identification devices and infrared spectrum, which can open up business of appraisal and evaluation. It has the Quan X type X ray fluorescent spectrum. It is in the leading position of internal non-destructive test market. It can provide the qualitative, semi-quantificational and quantificational tests. At the same time it has precise devices and equipments such as the microwave gold analyzer, the X-90 fluorescent spectrum, etc. It is the only one technical organization that has the ability of providing tests for finished gold products and finished silver products.
The center has a high accomplishment specialty testing faculty group which is composed of 18 members. It has the international and national jewellery appreciators who are engaged in the business of jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles identification, and also the engineers and senior engineers of the testing job for jewellery and bowlder ornamental articles and noble metals. Among them are 6 national registered jewellery and bowlder quality examiners (CGC), 2 international jewellery and bowlder appreciators (FGA), 1 international diamond appreciators (GIA), 8 jewellery appreciators£¨GIC£© from the Jewellery Institute of the China Geology University. All the testing group members attend the specialty training, re-education, scientific seminars and conferences to take in new knowledge and strength the capability of quality tests.
